The mpc itself seems ok. Though after getting it home and using it for a while, I'm finding that it feels uncomfortably large for me. So I probably should have gotten one with a smaller internal diameter. I'm coming back to trumpet after about 40 years off, and am having trouble with "split tones" and lip slurs above 2nd space C. A Schilke 5A4 was my perfect picc mpc, so maybe something with ID around 16.0 mm might work better, given my narrow tooth spacing.

I’ve bought a lot of Laskey mouthpieces. Perhaps too many. I’ve asked for years to have two-piece mouthpiece options so I can mix and match cups and rims without buying entire new mouthpieces every time, but despite most other mouthpiece manufacturers offering this, it’s a technology that continues to elude Laskey. So the latest mouthpiece I bought was fine. Three stars. That’s probably my ceiling until they are able to sell me just a rim and just a cup.
