VOLTRA 1 is a great addition to my home gym. I absolutely love the ease of use and how solid it is, considering the amount of resistance that it can deliver. I had been using attached to a pull-up bar for pulldown exercises, and works great, very smooth and the eccentric feature is a useful variation. Will be experimenting rack mounting soon. I love the versatility the Voltra gives you. I have five places I can hook it to that speeds up changing exercises. I’ve got a second one on order. Initially I was going to use it as an alternate to a cable weighted machine now I’m planning on skipping the plates all together. In my set up I do curls off the front of the rack turn around and push down the curved curl bar for extensions. The Voltra really surprised me. I was worried about the quality given its price. It did not disappoint. Its build quality is on par with a DJI drone. The electric motor gives plenty of force and it feels like a normal cable tower when in use. I use it for assistance work (4 days an a week) and only need to charge it once week. On the surface, this is a really nice, very expensive, super portable, extremely compact cable machine. It is all of those things. But where it’s more is with the software and how they regulate the resistance from the cable machines. In particular, the reverse power band is incredible for hypertrophy on an exercise like Lat Pulldowns. Finally, you can get WAY more load on the muscles in the most elongated position.
