First of all the instruction manual didn’t mention the water level on each type of eggs. Both the pictures here are my attempt at soft boil eggs. The difference is the water level which one is at max and another is at min. Both are definitely not my expectations of how soft boil eggs look like. The only reason I bought this is I thought it can cook the perfect soft boil egg! Very disappointed with this product !

The Onsen tomago was great but when I did the half boiled egg, it turn up to be a hard boiled egg. Can you advise how i could rectify the problem? Do I have to leave the eggs under room temperature for a while after they have been placed in the refrigerator?
