Since it is not computerized, there is a learning curve but if you read your manual thoroughly you will become more comfortable using it. I usually go through my manual occasionally as a refresher. I just received my Koala Quilters Vision two days ago and I am loving it! It arrived in 3 boxes mostly put together, one box was the cabinet, one was the caddie drawer unit and one long box contained the drop down leafs sections. Putting the drop down pieces in the unit was simple because hardware was in place from the company. I love this machine!!! Finished 4 quilt tops in 5 days and the quilting was done on king size plus quilts 118 wide by 118 length took two days but this baby rocks. Two rat nest while doing the quilting, but just snipped the nest close to backing and rolled the ever care over three or 4 x to collect the loose thread , rethreated, did a test run and back to quilting. I mistakenly got the Embroidery foot 39C before getting this Reverse Pattern foot 34C. The bottom of the feet are quite different. Embroidery 39C is carved out behind the needle hole so there is no contact with the center feed dogs behind the foot. Good for embroidering bulky-thread designs, but bad for grip over regular seams. Reverse Pattern 34C is flat behind the needle hole, so it uses the central feed dogs, is better for stitch length control, edge stitching, and going over lumpy seams. ...

Finally found someone in Vallarta (visiting from Canada) who was not afraid to tackle a computerized machine! Thank heavens, cuz we ran into one problem. The plugs did not match, new to old unit. The 2-wire connection with a 2-plug had to be taken apart, wires "appropriately" treated so they would fit into the New unit which had 3 holes! Beats me, but it works now!!! Sorry it took me so long, but I also had to move last summer during extreme humidity and heat, which knocked out my breathing...

OMG the price for this is outstanding on sewing parts online. I bought all of this separately at my local sewing store and it cost me way way over $100. In fact just the jelly roll and interfacing was way over a hundred. Here they are throwing in the thread needles the tool and the pattern. If I do another one I'm going to get the whole kit again. I am new to sewing machines. I have been hand sewing for 4 years now. I have only sewn leather goods. This particular machine can handle some leather sewing, but does have its limits. I ordered this ruler table to use with my Juki TL98QE machine and my old school HQII carriage. It does not fit on the carriage - there is no place for the table legs to rest. I was able to give the carriage more surface area by adding 1/8" thick pieces of acrylic to the carriage with double-sided tape. It works perfectly!
