A week after receiving my TrekShield in the mail, wore it for ~5 hours hiking in the rain, wrapped my gear (and me) in it when i got to the campsite and had a powernap, used it to cover my backpack and gear when setting up tent in drizzle, and used it as a ground-sheet when pulling the tent down the next day...keeping gear from out of my tent off the wet dirt. I was so happy with the purchase....glad i got a second one to keep in the car!

The Trekshield ponchos are perfect for wet weather walking, especially when wearing a backpack. They are easy to whip on or off as the weather changes. They are also a good weight to ensure they don’t blow around too much in windy conditions.

Walked for a few hours in constant driving rain …. I had it over my clothes and jacket … hoping they would stay dry underneath…and YES…. I was so dry and warm when I got to my destination… where my partner ( not with a trek shield) was cold as his wet weather gear was so heavy with rain ! He wants one now !!!! Thoroughly recommend it !!!!

the poncho has been so handy over the roar this year on those wet cold days. ive used it so much and highly recommend getting one to put in the pack. its light weight compared to a heavy jacket and does a great job. its stringer than most ponchos and hasn't ripped over the many times i have used it. we also used it under our tent for a ground sheet one night when it was really rough weather and it worked well no moisture coming threw the base of tent. top product i highly recommend it.

My daughter and I walked the 100 km Great Ocean Walk over 5 days to raise money for the Cancer Council. The three things we couldn’t do without were our hiking boots, toe socks and our Treckshield ponchos. They kept us dry, warm and wind protected. We also used it as a ground sheet for our lunch breaks. Would recommend.

I used the poncho in Taiwan during tropical showers as my wet gear (top & trousers) made me sweat profusely . The poncho is light to carry in a daypack, easy to don, was cool & let the air circulate well. Overall I will be using on every walking trip especially when it can be used as a stand alone tent.

I was looking for something which was versatile, durable and not to heavy and more able to be used if caught out in rain storm. This poncho seems to tick all those boxes with key locations for press studs and eyelets aiding the versatility. I did have an issue with a press stud (which can happen) but supplier has agreed to rectify (this quick resolution is testament to the supplier).

i havnt used it yet. i bought it because i am riding my horse on the Brisbane valley rail trail in April, and i wanted something waterproof, that was light, that will keep me dry, and will be big enough to go over my gear on both the front and the back of my saddle. bonus is, i could also use it as a tarp over my hiking tent. i will try to remember to take a photo for you during my big 161km adventure.

The cape is larger than I expected so when I went to use it as a rain cover first time, I was a bit surprised - in a good way. Bought two for a recent trip to Japan. Can’t fault their rain protection and general wear. Takes up minimal space and are light weight. These ponchos are amazing! We wore them on a hike in Japan, on one of the days it rained all day, and the ponchos kept us and our backpacks completely dry! This poncho is the real deal! I'm a large bloke so finding something that fits has been expensive and extensive until now. The fit is perfect. Enough wiggle room for my head and neck. Love the head piece that provides some more shelter/protection for the head in wet and windy conditions. Kept me dry during full on winter rain downpour. Honestly, an amazing product.
