So, here is a most wonderful story. I was going to try Willow Ace socks so I ordered 3 different styles. When they arrived, I thought they were too tight for my wife feet so returned 3 socks for a larger size exchange. Piece of cake to accomplish. When the larger size came, they were too big. I have a pair of boot socks that I bought with my (tall) snake proof boots. That fit perfectly and contribute to the all-day comfort I need while wearing the boots. I live in S TX so heat is a given along with the potential for rattlesnake encounters; wearing the boots is necessary for safety. Perfect sock that you can with dress shoes, slippers, and boots. The general universal all-day, no yuckiness, type of sock is this one. You can wear it with slippers, socks, and shoes all in the same day without issues. These are thinner than other Alpaca socks such as Hollow, but would be great for hunting to use as the base layer. You could wear a thicker sock over it.

These definitely come up to your knee. They feel great. You can wear them all day in dry shoe’s, muck boots, rocky, etc. without the need to worry about over heating. They feel like they would be tight around the calf but there is a lot of stretch. They are tight around the arches of my feet which I like as it offers real support there. Only worn them one time at this point but I like what I am seeing and feeling. Just one complaint, they do not feel like there is much if any alpaca in them.
