I recently bought 2 of them. One is little figured, but at least straight. The other one is a little bowed. Hope this could work for a fretboarded neck. Not sure for a single piece neck. Bad luck...

The Cherry wood grain looks good. I had the blanks run through the plainer and glued. I think the glue joint could have been tighter though. The joint is definitely noticeable if I was to do a clear finish. Next time I will do the gluing myself. I will make it work. Overall it's a nice piece of wood.
