All in all, we had a good experience with this product. The color turned out phenomenal on the clear coat laid out and ran out like a sheet of glass. Almost not wanting to wet sand and buff and polish. So smooth. The only issue we had was with the primer. We bought two different batches of primer. And our primer came and two consistencies. This foam painting tape is fantastic. My project is very unusual in that it’s an RC model of a WW2 P40. This model requires a soft transition between colors. In my analysis pre purchase the description stated “its does not leave a sticky residue” and that is 100% true. My surface for this model changes from wood, to open surfaces including fiberglass and the product worked great regardless of the surface. I love the Egyptian gold colors, just not for BBS gold rims. Compared to Rustoleum “gold” paint, this Egyptian Gold is 1000x better. I love the yellow “pop” and the flaking. I never spray-painted before let alone spraypainting automotive parts. Started with black sealer 2 coats then applied 2 coats of celestial purple base useing 1.5 tip at 22.5 lbs air then crossed fogged 3 rd coat allowed 1 HR dry then applied 1 tack coat and 2 medium to heavy coats of clear. While planning a project cars final color I fell in love with the Phantom Red from "The Spray Source". Not one to be satisfied with a small pre painted form to judge the color, I ordered a 4 ounce sample.
