I'm on board #3! The red and blue board is being donated for a fundraiser. The blue/black and green/yellow are both being given as Christmas presents. With each board I get better results. There has definitely been a learning curve but each time I demold I'm so excited to see the end product. Now I just need to figure out how to put a wood border around the boards with the limited amount of tools that I have. No table saw to cut wood and no router to make edges. Still working on that aspect...

This rating is for the entire Crafted Elements flattening jig (rails, carriage, cross-rails). This is a great improvement over my original, hand-made jig. Easy to set up (great video instructions) and well-made. I give it 5 stars even though I could not seem to get smooth travel of the cross rail/carriage assembly along the side rails. This is probably my fault, and I did not try removing the dust shield from the bearings; I will work on solving this for my next project.

For a first time using an epoxy mold, I can say this was the best turn out I could've hoped for. The weight of the mold is great and things fit tight. It took a while to find its way through US Customs but was worth the wait. It makes cutting a juice groove easy.
I use a Milwaukee M18 trim router and 1” spacers.
Just take your time, set it up carefully with the right spacing, make sure everything is square and tight, and clamp it to your bench in at least 2 places. Then go to work!

Fit my Bauer brand (Harbor Freight) rounder perfectly. The factory mounting screws were a little short but worked well enough until I could get longer ones. The handles were in the right spots for good control and the clear acrylic made routing a 5 pocket tray much easier to see what I was doing.

My family’s favorite project so far. If I was going to change anything I’d make it maybe 25% bigger and make the edges a little wider for strength. I have bought 3 of the same template first one I didn’t use enough tape and the template shifted and I routed right through the edge of template. Second one I used plenty of tape and I broke the top of the template off when I was removing it from the dish. I’ve made a dozen since with the 3rd one

I have not used this mold yet but I have used your chess mold (see pictures) and if this backgammon mold creates the same beautiful results as the chess one, I expect the same outcome. Your molds are a cut above any I've ever seen. Would love to see high quality domino or mahjon tile molds. I highly recommend investing in these molds, they are a little pricey but the results are worth it!
