When I purchased a used co2 laser I had no idea what a focus lens should look like. As I was cleaning the lens I noticed it just looked a little cloudy. I had been fighting to get clean cuts so I decided to order a new lens to compare. When I opened the new lens it was obvious the lens needed to be replaced. After installing the crystal clear new focus lens I’m getting clean drops on the entire 20x28 bed!

So very beautiful colors YES! I love my Fiber laser! 60W MOPA JPT. I know the trial and error is difficult to get colors but be patient and very meticulous and the color will show! Tech support responded to every need i had, the community is very helpful! I would if needed definitely by another MOPA from Cloudray! The laser tube arrived in perfect condition in a wooden crate with 2 more layers of protection. It wa easy to mount and connect up and so far works exactly as expected during test firings. The photo shows it cutting 3mm MDF at about 50W and 1500 mm/min cutting speed. The only minus was that the shipping for the tube and chiller was very expensive as they came air freight and there didn't seem to be an option for surface shipping.

I used EZCAD2's Corfile2 to calibrate the laser. After calibration using EZCAD2 Lite, the test showed everything being squared. The preset laser for focusing for my lens was nearly spot on for focus. I switched to LightBurn which I'm very happy that it was seamless in switching over. (Note you must install LightBurn's galvo driver). I've been etching stainless steel and it leaves a good marking. Only thing I find as a con is the setup instructions don't mention everything.. ie the locking hand...

Purchased this lens with my machine. I didn't realize it came with a 420mm, so I bought one, so now I have two, plus the 225mm. I use the 225mm far more than the 420 due to it's ability to have a smaller focus size, so more power density. I plan to get an even shorter lens in the future, like a 100-120mm. Very impressed with the level of detail I can get, even when deep etching on stainless steel.
