The unit works as advertised. One suggestion for next generation versions. Our cat is very consistent in the location inside in which he uses the box. This causes the catch pan to fill up on one side with the rest of the pan being empty. If the scoop mechanism could do a sweep side to side prior to scooping this would eliminate this. Just a suggestion. I have spoken with our cat and he is not going to change his habit. He just likes that spot.

Overall, pretty amazing. It would be nice if there were more clear instructions on how to set it up. The waste container fills much quicker than advertised. But it controls the smell and cleans itself very efficiently.

The kittens seem to like it and be ok using it but my older cat is not a fan and refuses to use it. I think you really have to start using this when they are kittens or it’s going to be difficult. I loved that this came assembled except for a few parts. We have not been able to sync up with the app and the app asks for more permissions than a cat box should have access to. We left it out in a common area for a couple of days so my cats could get comfortable with it. They don't all use it, but the light makes it less scary. I love the auto-clean function.
