Living and riding in Queensland makes it tough to find comfortable yet protective gear. I have tried a number of combinations of jackets and gloves but have finally hit on the perfect combination of Black Pup Moto’s summer Ol’ Bobber and Gen 3 Thumpa summer gloves. Both provide reassuring protection whilst giving relief from the Qld heat with plenty of airflow. The leather gets softer and more comfortable every time I wear them. The fit is pretty much perfect. The sizing method just works. The warm winter liner does make it perhaps ever so slightly “snug” (no draughts!) when worn with a polo shirt and thin fleece but it’s still very comfortable - and it’s not even yet "worn in” or slightly stretched (as all leather jackets do over time). Third pair of gloves from these guys, I don't think I'll get glove from anywhere else. The leather feels supple and it fits... like a glove. The design is a big stand out for me. The colours pop, I've never seen a glove like it on the market. Outstanding!

Absolutely fantastic. Exactly what I wanted. Very insulated, extending well beyond the cuffs with enough room to easily tuck the leather jacket (another great product) in. Recently completed a 300km ride in cold weather and was a breeze. Not only very insulated but also very practical and unobtrusive (e.g. its not a mitten, you have lots of finger dexterity). Perfect.

Easily my new favourite gloves. The colour really helps them stand out compared to my usual black pairs. I've been able to take them on a couple longer rides and have no complaints about their comfort, both in coldish (10-15 degrees) and warm (25-30 degrees) weather. Richard was helpful with sizing as i was a bit worried I was between sizes. The jacket arrived quickly and well packaged. Fits perfect, only a little tight in the lats when stretching/lifting arms upwards. Fine when reaching bars. It's leather, so will loosen up and give nicely over time. Only used it a couple of times and can tell it's going to be an absolute ripper - love it!

Probably not what they're intended for but got them for trail riding and light singles because sick of the garbage cheapos falling apart after a few rides. First usage was a day of single track so wet and muddy so few drops but they were fine! 25 degrees day in Vic and they were awesome was concerned that they'd be a sweat box but we're great. Looking forward to how long they last

As a new rider, this winter has been a wake up call on how important warm fingers are. These gloves are excellent. Great feel on the controls and keeps the winter chill at bay. I love being able to cover my jacket cuffs to keep the wind out of my sleeves. I think they look great as well.

I’ve got a few pairs of motorcycle gloves, but these are my favorite. Great fit-snug but don’t restrict movement esp after the leather stretches a little. I’ve got big hands: 3XL and the sizing chart was good. Well made and looking to be durable, though it’s still early days. Great to see a quality product designed and distributed in Australia. Bought another pair and a jacket after I saw the quality and fit of the gloves. Thanks!

Feels very high quality. I’d ordered the regular fit but soon realised my fingers are indeed quite short. Richard facilitated a quick exchange and shorter fit gloves fit perfectly for me. Leather has a good texture. Will need some time to wear them in but out of the box they are already the comfiest gloves I’ve tried on. Great product!

Richard has helped me complete my wardrobe with the Tallarook Adventure jacket. He was happy to exchange my initial purchase for a larger one. The lack of branding is great, quality and comfort excellent. Riding in Tassie in 5 degree ambients can be tricky, but I stayed warm and comfortable in the jacket and pants. Great to wear after a ride around a camp fire.

This is a serious piece of kit. It weighs about 3kg but is very comfortable. The leather is thick but supple. The stitching, zips, colour etc is all perfect. I have a 110cm chest (and belly) so that put me in the XL size and it fits great. The armour feels substantial but you don't really feel it when wearing it. Now I look cool on my bike. Instantly my favorite gloves, and I seem to have developed a collection in search of the perfect pair.. They are snug, but stretchy, well ventilated and incredibly comfortable. Fantastic buy. Bought a large as my normal gloves (also Black Pup Moto) that I've had for 3 years now, were a large as well. A bit tight at first, but after about 5 hours of riding, they've worn in and feel great. Plus I don't have numb hands anymore from the 5.30am rides during winter.

Rated this 5 stars before. But have owned this jacket for 4 years now. Had my first accident (TLDR: Rear axel nut came off, causing me to lose ABS, pulled the brake and fell out from underneath me). This is the result of falling off at 90km/h, landing on my left-side (didn't feel a thing) and sliding on my front. Not a scratch on me.

This actually my second pair of Sluggas. I bought the "Limited Edition" tobacco colour option. I loved the feel and fit so much I decided to get another just incase Black Pup ever stopped making them. Yes they're that good. One particular feature is the cut of the suede near the Velcro.
