Hi Emily and Sam, I’m making two church banners copying two Victorian ones that have reached the end of their lives. The one in the photo is no where near finished but you can see how I’ve used the different widths of your gold braids. One banner will have a figure of St. Joseph and the other one (which is dark blue) will have a figure of Mary. The trims that Barnett Lawson make and sell are absolutely wonderful and work so well with my hand sewn lampshades. From silky fringes to woven braids, they offer a great range of colours, are of excellent quality and are also good value for money. For me, they add a brilliant finishing touch to (hours of hand sewing!) my lampshades.

We recently inherited this beautiful, elegant sofa from my 102 year old mother-in-law. It was in a sorry state with the original gimp faded and broken in several places and the upholstery dirty and stained.
