This is an absolute stunner of an expression. The festival releases tend to be genuinely good - this one however has got to rate as one of the best if not the best to date. Separately, the customer service is second to none - quick, well packaged and free p&p. Glen Scotia are currently on a roll!

Stunning bottle to look at, can’t wait to taste it, the story about Campbeltown cross & the mermaid is just brilliant, dont know if the gentleman had a few too many drams, but loved the old tale. Makes it unique. Class in a glass. Well done .

To put it simply, I adore Glen Scotia. It's very rare they release anything that doesn't please me. When I saw this one, I had to try, I mean it has everything I look for in a whisky in terms of the boxes it ticks. Let's see if the box ticking delivers on the expectation. I purchased this as a present for my best man at my wedding. It arrived very quickly and was very well packaged. I did not open the inner blue cardboard box containing the whisky and glasses as it was a present so I can not comment on the glasses or the engraving on the bottle. Fast delivery and good customer service though.

A great dram. One of the most complex noses on a whisky in a long time. Plenty of flavour carried by the cask strength. Creamy texture, sweet, cooked fruits and a waft of smoke and spice. Lovely.

Lovely pale hay hue in the glass, on first nosing you get a huge nasal clearing citrus and menthol - think lemon Lockets. Underneath this, there is a faint hint of medicinal hospital smoke mixed with that quinticential Campbeltown sea spray aroma. The white wine influence from the white port casks is also present along with a little buttery creaminess, highland toffee and cream sponge. 1st tasted this when I visited Campbeltown in May of this year. Picked a bottle up after a distillery visit. Wasn't sure what to expect......white port ? However I wasn't disappointed. This is a dram to sit back with and relax. Wonderful usual Glen Scotia flavours but that added hit of white port gives another dimension.

I love the gentle smoke you get, and how creamy it can feel when the dram is gently warmed in your hand. Every whiskey they produce is markable, no matter the price point. Tastes older than it is, this whisky has been in great casks and the finishing in the white port cask has made it super interesting. Lovely complex sweetness, excellent finish and the herbaceous salty qualities expected are still present. Fantastic. I can’t think of many whisky’s I’ve enjoyed more at this price point.

What a great bottling ! On the palate has a taste like burnt orange peel. The first finish is faintly smokey sweet with hints of slightly overcooked stewed apples and pears. The long finish has hints of vanilla fading away to a sweet pastry flavour, reminds me of a Portuguese pastel de nata. Excellent value at £65 with free delivery. I tried this recently and it has quickly become a big fan! I don’t think that I have ever had either a whisky, bourbon or rye that has distinquishable 4 flavour profiles in each sip. Great mouth feel, the flavour really opens up the longer you swill in your pallet and the flavours linger for a prolonged period. Can recommend it but for the price point I feel the Victoriana would be a better buy. Though unrelated to the taste or smell; I’m not too sure what the need was for adding the caramel colouring….. for the drinking experience I give this a solid 78/100 Would make a great gift for someone

I bought this for my partner for his birthday as I had given him the Whisky Miniatures Gift Set for Christmas, which he loved. I can't say myself anything about flavours etc as I haven't tasted it, but going by my partners reaction when he opened it, and enjoying some of it that evening, I know I made the right choice. Maybe next Christmas/birthday I can try another one for him. I have also just ordered the Miniatures Gift Set for my daughter's partner for his birthday.
