Our use case is pretty simple. We have an old iPod which has a battery problem so needs to stay plugged into power. We use the Layen TX-RX to transmit from the iPod to a blue tooth speaker in another part of the room.

I have two I-DOCK 4.1s, one BT-AUX and one TX-RX.
The I-DOCKs just plug in and work as power is taken from the speakers.
I use the TX-RX (transmitter/receiver) for a very old iRiver MP3 player to connect to the I-DOCK 4.1 receiver. The battery in the TX-RX lasts longer than the battery in my iRiver (in excess of three hours).
The BT-AUX receiver is battery powered and just plugs in and works.
If you have a smart tv the TX-RX can connect via Bluetooth so you can use the tv’s speakers.

I purchased the BT AUX some weeks ago and it worked fine until the battery ran down and then it wouldn’t charge. Having got in touch with Layen by e-mail I received good sound advise and further instruction manuals to aid in my issue which has now been remedied.
I can now play my music collections through my Zeppelin Air by Bluetooth with my iPhone, iPad and my lap top as well as all other music media and videos.

I purchased the i-Dock 4.1 for an I Want IW500 docking station it wasn't listed as compatible or non compatible but following advice from Layen I took the chance knowing I could return the product if it didn't work. Their communication was quick and a great help. The device connected really swiftly to a load of different devices to connect to the docking station.
Really great product wouldn't do without it now.

connected it to my acient poineer hi fi system to phono jacks via a short adapter lead switched on my unit which is around 30 years paired the unit to my phone with the tunein app and wallah , at first not very good a poor quality sound which i thought would be the case so, i reconnected the jacks to the laser disc inputs and YES SUPERB SOUND through all my speakers . I have an iPod Classic that I love and although I have a Bose Dock I wanted to be able to play it on my home sound system and car stereo. This device allows me to do this. Connecting it to the home system was easy, it took a bit of time to pair it with the car but that was more my fault for not knowing how to get the Bluetooth settings right on the stereo.
It’s a fantastic little device that I thoroughly recommend.

I ordered my Layen Bluetooth Unit at 4.30pm on a Friday Afternoon and was more than surprised when it was delivered the following afternoon.
The unit was easily connected to my Bose Dock and was operating in a few minutes and has been in use nearly every day, the range of approx 10 metres allows me to use my dock in out with my house in both my garage and garden and the sound quality is in my opinion excellent.
