I finally got to make my resin board. I loved that it came with the full rainbow set of acrylic paint so you can customize it to be whatever you wanted. It was super easy to make - I've worked with resin before and you usually have to measure out proportions and such but this kit included one that was already measured out for you and all you had to do was mix it in a presealed bag! I love this monthly service! Instructions are clear and easy enough for a newbie to follow. An added bonus is that everything you need is included, so it's super easy to try new type of craft that would otherwise be cost prohibitive to experiment with. The quality of the items you receive is much higher than I expected from a service at this price. I was really excited to do the wood burning craft. We decided to split our party into two groups (different days) 6 one day and 4 another. We had atleast 4 burner stations sets up, each with a different tip. We swapped out tips throughout the night as needed. We then had another area for prepping the wood (cutting the templates and transferring the designs). Later in the evening l, we then switched that station to the painting station. I was excited when I received the Electric Airbrush Spray Painting Kit. It took a little bit to learn how to use the airbrush without pushing the button to begin painting. I had to laugh at myself a few times but finally got it. I was impressed at all the patterns that were included. The whole project was fun and exciting. I joined this craft adventure to try different kinds of crafts and it's been great! This month's craft kit was a great experience. My working with cutting and staining wood is very minimal. I just ended up staining the wood, rather than stripes because I thought the wood looked fabulous on its own. I painted the tray itself black using craft paint I had. I think it looked great. I really enjoyed this month's craft kit. I"ve never tried texture painting before so this was a totally new concept to me. The instructions were easy to follow and there was plenty of materials. I even have enough plaster left over to make a few more. There are only two points of constructive criticism I'd say from my end 1) I wish there were video instructions.
