Works as described. Paul was very helpful. Not as difficult as I thought to install, but I did take my time (2h) and did it professionally. I have the NBT system so the aux (front) works without having to thread cables to the centre console. I also use the original phone via BMW as it is faster to connect than the Android screen. I have stopped using CarPlay and have downloaded all the apps I need to use directly from the Android with a sim card. Reverse camera takes a few seconds longer to come...

Excellent replacement for my old OEM screen in my F30. I opted for this Linux model due to its fast booting, really only takes 3 seconds, and needed CarPlay functionality only anyways. Screen looks fantastic day and night time. Although no glare option available for this model, it does have anti reflection coating and does the job. I just installed it on my 2014 X3 with the NBT system. Everything is working fine so far. Loving the CarPlay. It's now my main source for music, radio, navigation and phone. I see no use in the OEM system anymore. The new kit is just always on and running in the background even when you exit. There are some setting adjustments required to optimize it. This screen is very high quality and easy to use. It is also much cheaper than Android screens. I don't need any of the things that an Android screen has over this Linux one, as Apple CarPlay does everything I need in a car. There is a small issue with the automatic day/night switching with my 2016 X3 (NBT) car.
