I ordered tungsten weights recently because I like the sensitivity that they provide. It’s amazing what I feel on the bottom as I use these weights. Proof is in the pudding though. These fish provided the very slightest “tick” and whamo, game on. Didn’t even have to adjust where the line is pinched in (usually the case with others). I’ll order more.

Wow! This reel can handle weights from .8 grams up to 5 grams with EASE. One of the most smoothest BFS reels I own. I have the Cormorant paired with a Super Ultra light rod to toss around trout magnets and white meal worms and it does it with finesse/ease. I can say this reel is on par with JDM Shimano and Daiwa BFS reels.

Since I discovered the Nako version (Jika Rig) of the Tokyo Rig I only use these exclusively and with great success. I use the heavier ones (1/4oz) for punching and the lighter (1/8oz) size otherwise. Great products and prices Nako!

I was skeptical coming from a high end reel like steez and scorpions not to mention its so light it feels cheap? Anyways, the magnetic cast system is nuts, it works great and very tunable. It outcasts my much more expensive reels easily, but without threat of backlash. Handled a 4# largemouth and a 3 pound smallmouth alomg with numerous smaller bass on its first day out without compromise. Ill be ordering another very soon, maybe even a kingfisher for my wife as well.

First time using the popper, it produced the skunk buster dink for me as well as several others. Later in the day my son (mainly a fly fisherman) wanted to get in the topwater action and catc caught several including the largest of the day. I really love the feel of these lies in the water. I feel ever rock, stump and other debris on the bottom. What I live most is the ability to change hook size and style to adapt to my style of fishing. I fish most at night.

This was the first time using tungsten weights both Texas and Carolina rigged. The sensitivity of the Nako weights were incredible. I am certainly hooked on these weights now. Having the weight printed on them is an added bonus. The fish in the picture is an eight pound 10 ounce beauty caught using a 3/8 oz worm weight.

This is more info for future customers than a true review as it was received today. I took reel and degreased and de- oiled it as well. I use Cal’s Grease on worm gear which also reduces noise. Then Shimano oil on the bearings. Even after dial in I was not getting distance desired. I put on a 1/8th crankbait (less hooks) and made several snap casts. The new FF is fantastic. The blacked out look is really nice in person. It's so light, like nearly weightless in the hand. Smooth as any reel I've ever held. All the bells and whistles are not gimmicky but instead look and function at a high level. This is one of those reels that will make you want two or three in your arsenal. These drop shot weights are great! They are slender which is great for the areas I fish around rocks and vegetation. It was a tough winter here with Lake Fork drawn down 7' and very variable weather patterns, but I could count on drop shot with these weights to put some fish in the boat.
