Cool, and comfortable, these socks don't fall down or bunch.
The top band is a bit constrictive, but I think it will loosen a bit with successive washings. Definitely more comfortable than any of those eBay mystery-material compresion socks from who-knows-where.
Easily the equal of the expensive socks the pharmacies carry.
I'm definitely going to repopulate my sock drawer!

I bought these socks totally out of curiosity about merino wool and got positively surprised. It’s a thin material, very warm and it really doesn’t make my feet wet, the best part in my opinion. Of course it should also depend on how much merino there is in the composition of the socks, these are around 60%.

Good quality socks, but they run small. The large "Power Trekkers" are shown next to one of JB Field's bamboo/wool/cotton socks, which has a larger heel-to-toe length for the same size (L). The large Power Trekkers are too small for me, while the bamboo/wool/cotton are great.

Over the past decade, I have purchased a couple of dozen pairs of the 96% merino wool socks from the Great Canadian Sock company.
I always buy the green ones. That way, when I wear a hole in a sock, it goes in the bin and is replaced with one of its siblings. They wear fairly well, but they won't last forever. Nylon socks might last longer, but they will be uncomfortable. Wool breathes, and is cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

These merino socks don't dig into my skin like another brand's (breaker) and are more comfortable to wear as a result.
With that said, these socks do ride down fairly easily, however, so did the other ones. I would choose these over the others any day of the week.

At 80 I have challenges to my feet, I want warmth and comfort from a natural-fiber sock that does not bind on my lower leg the way the Boot Socks at Wigwam and L.L. Bean do. This sock comes close to achieving my objectives. The combination of 75% Merino wool and polyester is OK, but the Icelandic "30 Below XLR" Merino Wool Thermal Sock is perfect. The sock washes well (cold water, no heat drying). Well done J.B. Fields - and Canadian Made TOO!!! 'bout time.

I bought one pair for hiking and found them ideal for all seasons. Winter, summer, fall they are perfect imo.
They don't smell, and last a long time. I have 8 pairs that I rotate and they have lasted close to 10 years now. That's value. And made in Canada!

The Weekenders are a perfect all-around sock. I've always preferred high-cotton socks for comfort and breathability, however they've become harder and harder to find. These are much more reasonably priced and every bit as good - frankly, at 96% cotton, better - as other brands (I used to buy Calvin Klein and J Crew cotton socks but the high cotton options are vanishing). The Weekenders are medium weight and work for casual wear or hiking.

I have large calves and ankles as well as feet (14EEE). Most high socks cut off circulation and indent my calves by the end of day. It does get painful at the top edge. The same with short socks above ankle. Trying these socks without elastic feels great, they go on easy and stay up inside my coveralls all day. Days end my legs feel as good as they did in the morning.

My wife wore these socks during a jungle trek in Columbia. With temperatures peaking at 45 degrees and maximum humidity, these socks held up great!
Happy feet and no blisters. Easy to dry over-night and popped back on in the morning.

These are really nice socks. They are natural fiber primarily --bamboo -- so they are good for sensitive skin. They are a little taller than regular crew socks, which I like -- and as "diabetic" socks -- for even those of us who are not diabetic, they don't have a toe seam and aren't too tight on the legs. Now they just need some of these in other neutral colors -- such as light brown.
