I was so excited to receive the journals but for retired folks like us, it's not quite as fitting as it would be for young families. On the "Make it Personal" page from each State Park are questions such as... "The Kids Liked This", and "Best story told", "Games Played" etc which are definitely geared for families. What I got was just a URL for each park and a lot of checkboxes and blank space to record my thoughts and information I obtained about that park from the Washington State Parks website. For example, the "Northeast" section includes counties from the far west side of the state - Whatcom county is as far northWEST as one can go, as well as Spokane, as distant from Whatcom county on the east side of the state as can be. Feels like it was built for the 1980s. There’s nothing unique about each park— just a standard template for each park including written sections on where to stay and addresses. I would have loved highlights on the most famous things or some design elements that looked less like elementary school
