It has both modern and classic features. I was not sure I liked the collar at first as it is not leather but it works with the coat. You can dress it up or you can wear it casual. I'm 5'4". Waist 28, hip 37. I chose 2xs. I fits pretty well. DANIER'S leather jacket fit are usually looser so I always take a size to 2 size smaller. That being said, if I were to wear a thick sweater, it would be a bit snug, in that case take xs if you plan to layer up.
