So far so good for a 5th grade backpack. There is not much books being carried in the backpack just a three ring binder so not much weight. If it had to hold alot of weight I am not sure how long it would hold up.

I decided to keep the jacket, even though an agent I had emailed said it was true to advertised size. I was afraid to return the jacket for the next size up in case it was sized accurately. We live in Florida and our house is decorated in black and white and shells, palms, and FL birds. It fits in perfect and it's just the right size which I think a 4 by 6 is sort of hard to find. There actually was no need to put a pad underneath it since it doesn't move and it is very soft on your feet and velvety. Of course the black background and white stiched outline of palm trees is perfect.
