Converse have been my go to shoe for a while, but the PF Flyers have a wider toe box and don't have the weird fuzzy bottoms. The insole on this shoe makes the break in time almost non-existent. I'm not really a fan of the laces, they are a bit stiff, so I replaced them with ones that work for my everyday wear. The price point is what sold me on these, very affordable for a solid pair of shoes.

I would rate this a 4.5 if I could! The shoes work surprisingly well for skateboarding, showing so far very little wear on the sole (if any). Funny enough, I actually found the soles on these shoes to grip better than skate shoes I have tried, which is great! If PF Flyers ever makes a shoe like this with a bit more ankle structure/padding, it would be an absolutely incredible skate shoe that has a wider toebox - something a lot of skate shoe brands these days lack. The only thing I don’t like about the shoes is that the right shoe has 9 eyelets on one side of the laces and 10 on the other, so when I lace them all the way it leaves an extra eyelet on one side. For this reason I give 4 starts instead of 5. Otherwise they are comfortable and seem well made.
