It is hard to tell exactly how it fits because it is so dark. We're still in the "testing" phase, but I believe it will work just fine. Love the air holes! It's probably the coolest mask around.

I actually love it, but was a challenge getting the proper fit as Penny is an in between size. Penny is 6 yrs. old has has diabetes and the cataracts has caused her to be almost blind. Purchased for a horse with uveitis. Was hoping to be able to wear it during Canadian winter but now know it will crack in the cold. That is the downside. My horse in the meantime ended up needing an eye removed and it is working fantastically to keep his eye safe while it heals! Far better than a fly mask would!

My horse's ophthalmologist recommended this mask due to my paint having eye cancer. I like that there is just a strap over his head/behind his ears rather than mesh so that area doesn't get as sweaty. Within the first 24 hours however the stitching on the edge of the nose cover has already come loose. That part is frustrating.

I've ordered several fly masks and the Equivisor Recovery Mask as well. They are all great quality, well made, durable and stay on your horse's face without pressing down over their eyes. I love having the UV protection as my horse had severe uveitis attack both eyes last year. These masks have been literally a sight-saver for my guy.

This is definitely the way to go after eye surgery or treatment. Our vet sent us home with a Novaguard, but our sweet 'ole gal wasn't able to drink water at will. Plus the Novaguard was not as good a fit because she was between sizes - she has a thick wide neck but a small head. This Optivisor secures better all around and allows her to drink or have a good girl snack 😊

LOVE this fly mask. Very durable. Horse has yet to get it off and he is the master at getting them off. Keeps his eyes protected from the sun which is of utmost importance since he has uveitis in one eye. Highly recommend this fly mask.

One of the cheaper and highest UV protection out there that I have found. My trickster rarely ever gets it completely off and it holds up better than most to his rolling and scratching abuse. I like that it keeps a ring around his eyes so the mask doesn't collapse on his eyes. It also seems to not block his vision as much as others. He never seems unsteady or spooked when I approach. I will continue buying as long it is needed for my boy and other horses if needed.

I purchased this in advance of a known eyelid surgery. This works much better than a traditional e-collar and it is more comfortable for the dog. Having a giant breed, an e-collar barely fits through doorways! This cone is much narrower yet long enough to fully protect the face and eyes. The only thing I would change would be to add some sort of padding, perhaps similar to the brow band, at the sides/cheek area of the cone.

I would have given it 5 stars but when I got to my horses, the velcro was almost undone by my other horse. However, it is a bit too big for him. I only bought one to see if I loved it as much as the equivizor. I will be buying another one but smaller.

My lab has seasonal and food allergies and so regularly struggles with hot spots. The standard e-cone just does not do it. When my dog got diabetes and became blind I needed something to protect his eyes when he is in the back yard. This is my second visor, as the first one finally needed to be replaced from many, many months of usage. I love being able to put on his visor and send him out in the yard without worrying what will happen to him with all the trees, shrubs and rose bushes. I definitely got my moneys worth from the first one fully expect the same from the second one.

This is a great alternative to the traditional cone, my pup has to wear protection until her eye surgery and then a few weeks after (total of about 3 months) and the cone wasn't a practical choice, but now she can drink, eat , play and be a puppy. I'm glad I've found this alternative, plus the customer service and shipping are excellent.

This is such a great idea- it does take some work to get it to fit properly but it is worth it. She is still getting used to moving around with it, but is able to settle when laying down. It is so nice to have her big German Shepherd ears out and not crushed in the other type of e collar!

This is a reorder - the two I ordered previously are depended on to help my mare have fewer eye flare-ups. These masks are the best. They stay on, help minimize sun, wind and dust impact on eyes. And they are very well made - velcro stays strong, the flare design around eyes is strong and keeps horses from rubbing eyes, and the fabric holds up under daily hose downs and sun drying. Highly recommended.
