Purchased two of these jackets in sizes 38 and 40. At 5'-10", 150 lbs, with a 39.5" chest, the 38 was the slightly better fitting jacket of the two. Unfortunately, there is one glaring issue with the size 38 jackets. The zippers are installed backwards and the zipper pull is located on the left side of the chain (vs the right/ windflap side). This might be my favorite denim jacket ever, and I've owned a couple dozen. The fit is perfectly trim but not restricting, and the length is perfect: I like my denim jackets shorter in the body and longer in the arms and this delivers. For reference, I'm 5'11", wear a size Large or 42R, and I actually got the size 44, which fits like it was made for me. The photo is my wife actually, who grabs it when ever she goes out to put away the goats...this is southern California, but in the mountains in February its cold (daytime temp 40-45 degrees in February) Regarding the size, I usually wear a Large and so ordered a 44...where there enough room for maybe a another thin sweater inside.
