Wow! Got here really fast!! It appears nice and sturdy! I can’t wait for the snow to melt so I can get out there! We (the cup and I) need coffee and a roaring fire!

The order was quick and convenient. The refills should be just what is needed after many nights of fire making. The original seems to be holding up quite well, so it may be a bit longer before these are needed.

At first I was unsure this would be a good addition to the fire kit. I was pleasantly surprised when this has become our favorite new camp accessory. The ability to fray the end and get a burning tinder with one strike of the fire steel is invaluable. My son, whom is new to fire tending, easily starts fire bundles even in stoves where there is a reach in to gain access to the fire bundle. I wish I had one of these years ago when I was routinely hiking and camping. This item combined with U...

The tinder wick Is a neat little help at starting your fire.Just a few sparks and it’s lit and will give you plenty of time to add your fire to the stove or campfire

Thank you. It's an outstanding idea to have such fire starter. It would save so many lives in a past centuries if people only would have such thing those days. Thanks for giving a chance and a way to have this. All the Best to All, blessings!

We ordered two, just based upon the reviews of others. These are stout. they allow for a full hand hold when striking. After getting the exterior finish worn in, it was a short order to strike tinder into a flame. I definitely would recommend these for anyone getting started. large enough to get a solid grip and ample enough to provide ease of fire starting.

Assembles quickly. Very sturdy, yet small enough to be packed away without taking enormous room in your pack. Tinder cut out in the front is ample for feeding fresh tinder. The metal cools quickly after extinguishing the fire, which aids in the speed at which you can pack it up and get back on the trail.

I have my morning and evening coffee in this every day. I have the large one and really like it. Makes me feel great even when I can't get to the woods to have coffee.

I utilized my ferrous rod from Uberleben countless times while camping last Fall and Winter. I was Not disappointed. It was my go to fire starter ! I am getting ready for this upcoming Fall and Winter camping season again and will be only using Uberleben ! I highly recommend their ferrous rods as many others have let me down or paled in comparison.

Prepare your tinder, fray the cord end and strike the rod. Carefully directing the sparks onto the fray will result in a quick fire. Now move that flame to your tinder. It's that easy. Every camper and hiker needs to carry this just in case or to make fire starting a whole lot easier.

With a variety of sizes, it couldn't be easier to carry your fire starter. The included edge makes it easy to scrape off a good amount of starter. Now get that edge perpendicular to the rod and strike that rod. The shower of directed sparks quickly ignites the scrapings which if placed on kindling will get your fire started quickly. Carry one with you at all times...just in case.

I love the old school Lore. I use it to drink water out of. The finish beautiful, with only a couple of dole places inside the bowl area that appears might not have been sealed up as good as the rest of the cup. Beautiful wood grain, and craftmanship. I did order the 12 oz. with the 2 hole handle after using the Lore for a while. The2 hole is easier to pick up and drink out of, but it can't compare to the sheer beauty of the Lore.

Good stuff. Exactly as advertised. Easily lit with my ferrous rod and is then an excellent match. If you are in to this "down to basics level fire starter" as I am, I don't think you can do better. PS, I've tried other tinders and they don't light near as easily.

My wooden cup is a work of art. I use it to hold measuring spoons and small utensils when I’m baking or cooking. It looks cool on the counter with all the items I never put away because I use them all the time.

I love this ferro rod. I already own the Zunden which I carry everyday. The extra length as well as the flat sides make this the most effective and easiest to use fire starter i have ever owned.

For those of you who haven't used a ferrocerium rod, wake the * up. It is easy, and the one sure thing you have in your pack especially when the elements become challenging. Matches don't measure up, lighters...forget it. You can't match the simplicity or reliability!

I can barely use a lighter so I wasn't very confident that I could use this. But holy cow, this thing works great! It's easy, reliable, and highly entertaining. I love the pretty showers of sparks. :)

Purchased two kuksa (coffee mugs)...absolutely love them...I have my morning coffee every morning in this wooden mug. I plan on purchasing more for friends, cannot think of anything else that makes such an ideal gift. Imagine giving a gift like this that your friends will use every day. Tom Watertown, NY

We haven’t used this yet but will do so as soon as we have enough snow for snowshoeing. Our treks are all about the picnic and this pot will be a welcome addition to our arsenal. Besides, the style is Nordic through and through, which we love!

I used my cup so much that a large part broke off the side. It happened due to my own negligence in packing but these guys were quick to get me a brand new cup. The cup itself is gorgeous and it fits well in your hand, there’s nothing like looking out over the lake while sipping coffee from your carved wooden cup

We are very pleased with the quick and simple use of our fire starter. People that have seen it in action commented that they would like to have one and we have given them the info to get their own, because they can't have ours!

This thing is fantastic. Great for getting. Fore going. My son got a fore going into some fire starting material and on his first good flick,it caught. Excellent sparks off the rod.

Wanted to use it a bit before writing a review. The pot works amazing and the pour spout coupled with the handle design makes it one of my most valuable camp items. The size is great for solo camp and lightweight backpacking but a 2.0 liter version would be a great improvement.

I’ve been using this for making tea and coffee in the wilderness, along with the Stoker stove. Works very well and the craftsmanship makes both very enjoyable to use. Not that I needed a reason, but it gives me motivation to get to the top of the mountain to enjoy a hot beverage.

I use the kessel all the time, even at home. It handles well and water boils quickly. The lid fits securely so there is no danger of lid catastrophe. I plan to buy another one for cooking, using my first kessel for water only.

If you can reliably make a fire then this is the best backpacking stove hands down. Light weight, easy to use, and simple.

What a great idea! The wooden cup warms hands without burning them. No need for a towel wrap which can not always work. I do wish there was a design with only one handle, but the two holed handle also fits.

ferro rods are the bomb! one suggestion: make the rod on the tinder wick a ferro rod as well! if you dont, someone else will. Just saying! great products at great prices!

I received the two Ferro basic lists and have gifted them to my two sons. Unfortunately right now due to a fire ban in our area we can't put them to good use but we can't wait!

I first seen this fire starter on youtube and I was very impressed! It's so easy to carry this instead of tender. I mean this gives you a definite advantage because of the extended time you have to light your fire! I definitely recommend to everybody that goes out into all weather conditions. It's a no brainer. Nice compact tool that will work anywhere, probably. All you will need is the tender and dry fuel. Seems ta, Throw more starts than a welding electrode. LOL! I am glad I got it!

Great little pot. I carry it in my jeep along with a stove so I can fix a cup of hot coffee or lunch where ever I am. The little pot is just perfectly sized for my wife and I. I have the first version but i like this one even better. great piece of equipment. I love it.

Great little pot. Very sturdy, and hangs well over the fire pit. Just the right size for one or two people to have the morning coffee or heat up water for whatever. Thanks, Dan

I think it looks fashionable and stylish with my out door attire and attitude...the ladies in my family made a point of bringing that to my attention. I've removed the clasp and use a barrel knot to fasten it around my neck - this makes the lace adjustable.

This is one piece of gear that my hunting partner and commander-n-chief of our expeditions...in short my wife...absolutely loves. Simple to spark...when combined with the tinder wick it provides a quick fire in virtually any conditions. After tinkering with it a bit...she purchased one for her Dad, and made sure that I had the neck version as well. Well thought out and practical...Nichole and Jim. adventurers and hunters in tandem...
