The color was lighter than I expected, a light purple or violet. Decanted and left for an hour before tasting. An aroma of red fruit -- cherry, maybe strawberry -- with a touch of menthol. Medium body, nice acid, smooth tannins. Sweet, lots of red berries, leather, cedar, and that touch of eucalyptus or menthol carried on a mineral backbone. A medium finish of limestone. Very nice indeed!

This wine surprised me. I thought it might be like a lot of other Pinot Grigio wines I have tried. Much better, more interesting fruit flavor, hard for me to distinguish the fruit. At first I thought sweet but it’s not. I really have enjoyed this patio sipper. Great with a fresh salad for lunch or dinner.

Golden color in the glass. Popped and let sit for 45 minutes. I would suggest decanting and waiting twice that time, because the wine definitely improved with air. A musty nose with rays of citrus and lemon grass apparent. Surprisingly full-bodied ... meaty. Lots of mineral with prominent citrus. Good acid and well-integrated. A long finish and, after time and air, the finish ended with saline.

Glad I bought 6 more before it sold out. I have also bought the Brookman 2010. This is great stuff. I love Louis Martini Stagecoach and this tastes super similar for 60% less than Louis. At that time i wished I’d bought more thane one bottle. When ai saw it available at the low price of $49 (cheaper than my original purchase price) I had to snatch up four more bottles.

This really does have the taste nose and finish of the few Silver Oak Napa Valley's we have received as gifts.
