I first learned about this company through an Asian network and then heard an interview on Dear Asian Americans so I had to order a pair of kicks. I just loved the story behind their brand. Anyway, I placed an order and received the shoes so incredibly fast. I had a bit of a snafu with my order, but the customer service was more than amazing (which tells you a lot about a company). I gotta say that I love, love these shoes - you can feel the quality of the material and they’re super comfortable....

From the moment I hit purchase to the moment I've hit done on this review, my experience with 1587 has been awesome. The fit is terrific, love the classic style and these shoes don't do something almost EVERY other pair of sneakers I own have done...make that gap around the arch area when I walk where the sides bulge out. Opening the box when I got them was like opening a birthday present! As a Transracial, Transnational Korean Adoptee growing up in predominantly White spaces, there was very little to none Asian representation in the community and society at large. These really go so well with a variety of occasions, from casual to formal. They're sleek, clean, and most importantly, comfortable. I've worn these for extended periods of time and my feet were still good by the end of those lengths. And I know they will get even better over time as the leather conforms to my feet.
