The quality of this map is excellent. There are so many fun things for them to find (things that have sparked great discussions and have led to them doing research to find out more about specific historical events). It's a great afterschool wind-down activity, too! I have two 4 yrs old grandchildren and they absolutely love looking for the hidden pictures. They love it so much that I actually bought 3 in total after we received the first one. We have one in our kitchen where they spend a lot of time as a family and got one for the two playrooms that I have at my house for them. I bought both maps for my classroom, but I have only put up the US map so far (due to space). My students LOVE it! It's been such a great activity to do when they are finished with their work. My only wish was that there was a QR code or a booklet or something that they could use to look up what each person/place/thing represents in American history, pop culture, etc... This is an awesome activity for middle school students as an “early finisher” incentive or to encourage them to get to class. Over a hundred students are working together collaboratively (in turns), being competitive to find things, and asking questions & discussing the icons/objects. This is a lot of fun. I homeschool my 12-year-old daughter and have an 18 year old son at home. They’ve both enjoyed searching for things with me. I am able to expand on history when we find certain things. Make sure you have space because it is huge! I absolutely love this map. My kids do too. It’s like a where’s Waldo for America teaches them all about monuments and this is all-around fun. I even have a 13-year-old.
