Rudraksha are very powerful things and they give strength but wearer needs to follow proper ''niyams (rule) like remove it when you go to toilet during sex etc .. non vegetarian food, alcohol, smoking is not allowed. Basically you need to keep yourself " pavitra (pious) while wearing it as you are doing"ekakar" with Shiva.
