The String Theory Golf Putting Trainer is a fabulous tool to teach with and learn how to develop a putting stroke with TEMPO! It is terrific at learning a passive transition from the backstroke to the forward stroke, while maintaining a consistent speed with the putter head. (Be advised. This is one of the best training aids on the market. To putt well, you have to prevent your hands from taking over the stroke. This device cures this common putting fault.

I recently asked the best putter I know how to get better at lag putting; he said, "look up String Theory Putting." This aid is exactly what I needed. Teaches you to use your shoulders to create a calm and controlled cadence for your putting stroke. Also a nice reminder on tempo for your full swing. Great product!

I was so skeptical when i opened the package and tried it the first few times. I always knew that my hands were a problem especially in transition. Ive done the sticks under arm pits tied together under the hands and you can fake that and it will not translate. THE STRING TREORY DID!!!!!! Notably for me, grip pressure and most importantly how it feels at transition. This thing will not lie and it translates easily to regular setup with a regular putter.

This is a great teaching tool. I really like watching my students use this and watching the feedback they get from their putting stroke.

Does a good job of making you aware of your hands as you practice.

It is a nice concept. My problem was that because the “String” is so supple, the club must be addressed directly on top of the ball with the hands for that pendulum action to truly work. Nice training aid, great for tempo and timing. It only comes in a right handed configuration, so as a lefty, the grip is upside-down which feels awkward.

I teach a lot of kids and I think if the shaft was a little stiffer it would help.
