I find that these connexions are easy to use given a little patience and care. I've found it best to first put two wraps of good masking tape around the braided hose before cutting it with a slitting disc on an angle grinder. The tape prevents the braiding from splaying out too much so the hose can be fed through the tube nut with ease. This was fitted in a left hand drive MGB with dual circuit brakes. We had to mount it across the corner of the engine bay by fabricating some simple brackets and metal pipe clips with rubber sleeves. The optional bracket that CBS can supply is best suited when there are flat surfaces in the engine bay so we didn't use it. Excellent piece of kit. Really good value for money. I bought this mainly for the tyre inflator to replace my old one which had died after many years of use. The kit comes with all you need to look after your tyres and get you out of a punctured tyre issue. The inflator itself is very compact and the cable storage is better than my original which cost me twice the price. This is a really attractive design. Works perfectly and the illumination colours are readily selectable from the attached socket at rear and colour coded flying leads. Resisters are in place as supplied so this saves a job. Stainless casing so no problem in my open top vehicle. This filter has a secret function. Not only can you see through the glass any accumulated debris (look closely at my pic) but you can unscrew it and clean it out with petrol. But the crowning glory is the bleed feature. When you fit it you will often see an undesirable (potentially fuel pump wrecking) trapped air bubble under the glass.
