I had the most amazing experience renting from the Fitzroy! I fell in love with this dress at first sight. At first I didn’t think I could make it in to try it on, and as someone in a larger body I ordered a size up for fear that it would arrive and be too small. Great experience with The Fitzroy - recommendation to size up in this dress from the sizing chart was accurate, I would normally wear a small and sized up to a medium. The dress was gorgeous and I received many compliments all night! Perfect spring colors that pop in photos. This dress got so many compliments! It fit well, complimented my body well… hid the post food bloat. My only extra add-ons of feedback on the fit are: 1) the plastic grips on the inside of the top/arm straps were rubbing so I ended up quite irritated and sore on both arms 2) the dress is very long so even while the train part was buttoned up at the back, it was still easy to get caught on the shoes. This dress is beautiful and quite adjustable as it’s a corset back. It is comfortable with pockets (!) and feels regal - its a stunning gown! I had so many compliments and loved wearing it. I actually tried three sizes and all three fit so I was able to choose one that worked best based on length because the corset really makes it so much more adjustable. The staff in the Shop were very helpful. It was useful to have looked at the website beforehand and have the dresses you want to try on in mind. For those that are not near the shop I found the sizing recommendations on the website were accurate. Including whether it had stretch or not. This dress was very comfortable. This dress is gorgeous and so lightweight - perfect for a strapless. I wore a strapless bra and that with the fit of the dress was enough to hold it all up. I tried using double sided tape but it wouldn't stick to the dress so don't recommend that with this one. You definitely have to hold it while dancing, I only wore 1" heels and I'm about 5'9 feet tall so it drags a bit at the back. Have to be careful going up and down stairs too.
