I get the decaffeinated coffee for my husband who doesn't tolerate well the fully "leaded" version of coffee. He says the flavour is indistinguishable from normal ground coffee and indeed, whenever I serve it to friends they are astonished when I tell them it is decaff. Obviously, you don't get the hit of caffeine but for some individuals that's not a good thing but when the taste is so good, what does it matter? I have been looking for a decaffeinated coffee that tastes as good as caffeinated coffee. After an internet search found Decadent Decaffeinated Coffee Company and ordered their decaffeinated bundle to try. I have enjoyed them all but think the Guatamala Acatenango is my favourite and the one I will be reordering as it has a lovely taste with the added benefit of being decaffeinated.

This is my decadent treat and the mixed introductory pack allows me a variety of flavours. The range in supermarkets is very limited. I also like that the procedure to decaffeinate is the safer water based method.

I love Decadent Decaf. Why? I went decaf a couple of years ago and as a coffee nerd, I wanted the best decaf there is. Hence I tried literally every decaf blend I could find. There are a few nuggets out there, but most taste very similar to one another. The espresso blend from Decadent Decaf however has the intensity I am after and makes my coffee experience supreme.

Pretty much the only decaf coffee that actually tastes like real coffee. It would be great if DDCC could include more specifics about the growers that the beans come from. Supporting independent coffee growers is an important part of sustainable coffee.

Great tasting coffee with a lot of nuanced flavour. Quite acidic, but just at the right level. I have initially used the course grind for a French press, but I'll order beans next time for French press and Espresso.

I don't like acidity in coffee, so I bought this because of the "chocolatey" notes in the description. And indeed it is very good. Dark and rich - still a tiny bit of acidity, which is why I only gave 4 stars, but I am super-picky, and probably most people wouldn't mind it. My absolute favourite was the Ratnagiri Estate from India, sadly now out of stock. The most "chocolatey" coffee I've ever tasted is Vietnamese coffee, but there isn't a decaf version. Its rich flavours and smooth finish make this our go to coffee for a morning hit (Brazilian roast), afternoon lift (Costa Rican) or an evening serande (Columbian). If you love great coffee, great flavour and a smooth finish then look no further. The fact that it is decaf is the icing on the cake.
