These work pretty good. Even better with ear plugs. I use VERY aggressive compensators while shooting . Heavy concussion with adequate down pressure. With just ear plugs, my ears were left ringing for hours. By doubling up with these electronically controlled ear coverings that goes away. The best way to explain the Axil earbuds is simple. They work amazingly. Easy to fit for all types of necessary sizes. No fuss and the sound is very clear. When you are sighting down the scope on the cheek weld, they don’t move like headphones. They work and I won’t use any other type since I got them, In fact I got 2 pairs !!!! Just get them already, you know you will eventually!!!

Customer service and support was excellent! I had an issue with my first pair that I bought from a different vendor. I contacted AXIL to see what I could do to fix it. I followed their instructions but, in the end the pair was not reliable. They suggested I send the pair to them to have them checked. These have been great for the range. Muffs are uncomfortable sometimes due to my glasses. They can also interfere with my cheek weld on some of my rifles. These don’t. They allow for conversations at the range in between people firing and they also let me listen to music or podcasts/answer the phone. I couldn’t be happier with them.

I love these ear buds! They were a birthday gift. First time I tried them was on a deer hunt. The sound was so clear and amplified so well that I was able to hear a buck approach from around 50-60 yards. When I was finally able to make the shot, the noise cancelling worked incredibly well! Noise suppression is great, only used in work environment for now. Great that they don't fall out of my ears, the foam inserts take a bit if getting used... Controls are quite functional and responsive. Battery life is also great. Yet to test it for it's real purpose at the range.

I love these ear buds. The have great sound. The external mic is awesome for hearing what’s around you. The hearing safe is great. I work in an environment where I am cutting and welding and they are great. Even trued them in a tanker the other day had to cut off sum brackets inside. No issues. On complaint I have is when talking on them the mic dose pic up a lot of the background noise.

One of my favorite features is the fact that if one falls out of your ear, it does not fall on the ground and get lost. I have had earbuds fall out of my ear and tall into a 5 gallon bucket of paint. I orginally purchased the axil headphones with work very well but with shooting trap, I found the recoil of the gun was bumping into the headphones. I bought two pair of the axil ear phones and so far like them very much. I wear hearing aides and the ear phones are good in that I can easily hear when talking to people but they work excellent in dampening the sound of loud noises, especailly shooting noise. So far, excellent. They are very comfortable over extended wear.

While I'm not sure the ear protection from loud impulse noise is adequate as you really have to be careful to get tips to be snug enough, the simple amplification with gentle HF EQ sounds better than most hearing aids. Quite natural sounding!

I was mistaken thinking smaller size would go deeper in my ear and be better. It let in to much concussion even in deep. I switched to the middle size and it was much better. Very effective ear protection and nice to be able to volume control to pick up a conversation (or squelch one 😉). I am very pleased with them.

I saw these on Instagram and researched them some more. I read an article on them found in Field and Stream and bought them on the article's recommendation. These are the real deal. They work for hunting applications. They are comfortable, effective, reduce the noise and cut out the damaging higher sound range. I would recommend them for outdoor use only in hunting applications.

I really like the light feel of the buds as opposed to heavy ear muffs. The fact that these allow me to hear someone yell “Cease fire!!” While protecting my hearing from gunfire is also very important. Another plus is that I can use my phone with it.

I have the GS Extreme 2.0 because they are connected from one to the other by a cable that sits behind your neck. Individual ear buds just don’t fit tight enough in my ears and I’d hate to loose one.
