The replacement locks look nice, very shiny, and it's better knowing they're more secure. The installation is very easy, however... the nuts are not very well lock-washer secured, which means the nut will unscrew if not addressed with a good lock-washer, and I added Loctite to the threads to make certain.

Fits nicely in the shower but it is very difficult to lift up or remove it if there is a need. It should have notches or holes where you could place a couple of fingers to lift it up. It also fits a couple of inches higher so be aware if you are taller.

When it says “put it tight against the locking lever”, they really mean it. I thought I put it tight, but it keeps dropping down. I have more VHB tape, so I’m going to pull it off and reseat it tighter, but make sure you really snug it up against the lever when installing it.

Same with everything I've bought from AirGear; nice products but they seem to take their time in getting the product shipped. You'll get a tracking # quick enough but they don't get it to the carrier for at least another business day. I'd say, if you have it boxed up and give a tracking # at 10 am, why not get it to the carrier that same day?

I ordered the backing plate directly from Microair and didn't require the ugly buttons to cover original Dometic installation holes! The thermostat is great and easy to use!

The new chrome lock fit perfectly. Remember to save latch from replaced lock since new may not match, as was in my case. I suggest that you amend installation of machine screw with a 3/4" OD fender washer for stiffer install against thin gauge aluminum door panel.
