I love the old-skool "compressor" style dive watches, and I have had my eye on the Sangin Hydra for quite some time. It was now finally available, and in the version I wanted (black dial and GMT bezel), so I placed my order. I was not disappointed. The Decon rubber hybrid strap is annoyingly good. It hugs the watch, hugs the wrist, and basically behaves like the responsible adult in the relationship. I grabbed four packs of these Sangin stickers because, let’s be honest, they vanish from the shop faster than my self-control at a watch drop. The quality is stupidly good. The watch itself is phenomenal. I did have one issue tho and I reached out via email immediately when the watch arrived. The bezel screws on the 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock were not screwed in all the way. I was able to tighten them almost 180 degrees with just my fingernail. I sent a picture in the email. I was able to use a eyewear screwdriver to tighten them down completely, but I did slightly mare one up. I’ve been wearing the Neptune for the last 2 weeks and it is easily one of my favorite watches. It’s an outstanding watch at a great price. My only regret is not getting is sooner. The Professional Chrono is not my first Sangin. However, it probably is now my favorite. I bought the brushed/Polar combination and it wears very well in both sport/outdoor and office environments.
