My three miniature horses only wear Leader Equine Rugs. This foal rug was purchased for my smallest mini as a stable rug. It is very difficult to buy rugs for her petite size as most sizes usually start around the 3'9" which is okay for her larger brothers. What I love was the fact it was adjustable to fit her shape perfectly. I also love the reflective strip which makes her visible at night when we check on her.

Living in a dry area with very little rain fall there is no feed on the ground to pick. Its sandy red dirt. I treat my horse regularly with sand xpell to effectively keep the amount of sand in her gut to a minimum.

I'm in WA & we've had little to no rain for over 8 months so we use some sort of Sand removal product every month to try keep on top of it. This rug is a firm favourite. With plenty of room for wide shoulders, it sits nicely forward. It is light (100gm fill) but still warm enough for cold nights and has kept my horse snug and dry during the rain this winter. Knowing that the environmental impact of the manufacture of the AmEco rugs is less that an average rug, is a definite bonus. I highly recommend this rug. (Please keep supplying the 100gm rugs; they are ideal for our climate in WA).

Sorry no photo but this rug actually fits our Clydie x mare! She has huge shoulders and neck, and this rug fits! Had too go up a size(6.6) but I have too to accommodate the neck! I will say one thing, it did not stay dry in a massive amount of rain we got over one weekend, but it was an unusual amount of rain(over 25ml) Very happy with the quality of the rug.

Lovely rug, well made, nice and secure and easy to add the liners for extra warmth. Only negative, I would like a larger tail flap for more coverage of the rear in the wind and rain. I sized up one size (5’9 usually and got a 6’) as horseware seems to run a little small. ☺️
