Knowing that this was a ranked challenge, I ran as if it was a army PT test. The old APFT. It motivated me to run for my life instead if just holding a steady pace like people do on a regular 5K.

Got these trail races as a training method before leading a local bsa troop to philmont. Didnt have to have a pack but it made it a lot more fun. Find a trail and get after it. Its very rewarding

If you want a challenge, then the monthly subscription of Black Ops is for you. It is one that you do not know what the race is until you open the race instructions, once you do that, off you go. Plus you can earn "Rank" just by completing 3 races you get the rank of "Rook" and so on. One other thing about them is since you have no clue as to what is needed for the race, it makes it more challenging and I find that helps me find and go past what I thought my limitations were. Today's Battle Miles Genesis 10 Miler was a true testament to the expression, "Run through Mile You're In." 10 individual miles with 10 burpees between each. I focused on each mile as it's own race. It's so much easier to think in terms of a single mile over the whole daunting 10. Your watch runs continuously so the total time includes the 100 burpees and any stops for water. The BattleMiles race series have been really great challenges to do and look forward to during Covid and beyond. I have completed a variety of the Genesis, Tribute and Pro races, and am now working on completing the Badlands trail series. For any runner looking for a little "extra" or something beyond just running a virtual race distance, I would definitely recommend BattleMiles. The burpees, pushups, or running with a 20 lbs vest most certainly add "flavor" to the running.

This race is so frogging hard.. I had to run it again . Run one mile with a 20 lb vest and 80 lb sandbag… meh not too bad 100 sandbag burpees with same vest and bag … an epic experience that with challenge anyone’s idea of how fit they are Do it… after all it’s only ONE?

One was a very fun but scary run for me. I wasn't for sure 1 mile with vest and sandbag was going to happen yet with 100 sandbag burpees. I finished it and my time wasn't terrible. This was so far my 2nd challenging race next to Operation Machine that I ran on the beech in Cancun. It is a great accomplishment when you complete one. Thank you Battle Miles for the challenges.

Battle Miles is amazing and challenging at any distance you choose to sign up for. Shorter ones you have to go balls to the wall and leave you out of breath and longer ones just drain the body. The feeling after either one is amazing.
