Built an 8x8 ft floating deck in anticipation of our recent hot tub purchase. Item was well packaged and protected. To lighten our load, we were only able to remove the cedar slats on the ends as those on the sides were tightly packed in, but successfully lugged it to our backyard. The fire lights easily with newspaper and dry kindling. Just need to be sure to add the larger wood pieces gradually as the fire builds. Sinking into this tub at the end of a long day is downright blissful. By the time you’ve had a cup of coffee and read two chapters of your book, the fire has had time to get the tub up to temp, and you’re ready to go. I have RA, so it’s especially soothing on my joints. Wish we’d gotten it earlier! We LOVE it so much!

The design is extremely thoughtful. Every problem I expected to have (for instance water pooling at the drain) was already accounted for in the design. Even the fire started well the first time. The water was at 115 in two hours flat though I did take their advice and install rigid insulation in the bottom as well as make an insulation blanket to retain heat while the water was warming.

I wish they would just wrap the extras in with the total price rather than having us order ‘extra’ things like the cover, that you really need. Also, it’s hard ‘inspect’ tub for damage when it’s on the truck. Absolutely love the Goodland tub! It was a big purchase, but has exceeded expectations. Build quality is excellent and setup was super easy. We're using it three ways.
1. As a hot tub, it's a fantastic experience.
2. As a cold plunge tub on nights we sauna (you can see our wood burning sauna in the background of the picture I provided) we fill it with water fresh out of the well at 54 degrees... very envigorating!
3. As a quick cool off on hot days, the tub seems to stay at around 80-90 degrees...

My top advice: go ahead and get the cover when you buy the hot tub. You're going to end up buying it eventually (it seems like such an easy thing to DIY, but it's really not) and you'll save a little cash if you bundle the purchase.

The cover was everything that I had hoped it would be. It’s heavy enough to remain on the tub and windy conditions. But still light enough to easily pick up. The fabric is easily cleanable And incredibly durable. I am imagining it’s the same fabric that they’re using in the marine industry. Hoping to get many years of use.

Setting up the tub is as easy as they promise! I love it so much. I live in a suburban area and the tub has been great! It’s very easy to move, clean, and set up. Heating it takes anywhere from 1.5 to 2.5 hours - it depends on how cold it is and the type of wood you’re burning. The tub itself smells so lovely and I think it will weather nicely. I think that this cover is a must, it helps to prevent dropping wood dirt from dropping into the water while feeding the boiler. I would have added it to my initial order but it only became available later. With this cover on you can't verify that your water level is high enough to cover the boiler, so I suggest you make a measuring stick so you can compare the water level to the sides of the tub so you can be sure that you filled it enough. We absolutely love our tub! I think the only downside is the time and the amount of wood we need to use for regular use. We’ve tried all kinds of techniques with the fire to speed up heating time, but as it gets colder it’s taking about 4 hrs to heat it up, a little longer than we had anticipated.
Birth materials are all high quality, I’m sure the new cover is awesome/helpful (we have the old one), it’s gorgeous and I love not having to treat the water with chemicals and always have it running...
