I was hoping the upper lip would have a little more rigidity. The upper lip has a tendency to crush down a little more than I thought it would. I have to pull up on it a little to get it adjusted sometimes. I don't know, maybe another little sliver of metal to hold it away from the nose? I realize this would push against the nose. I love the size and quality of the “beads”. The wood feels good on my skin and has a calming effect when I wear them; which isn't often because of the length. I have the 8mm mala as well for daily use with chanting. The 10mm mala I reserve for formal wear or ceremony. The only complaint I have is the long, burgundy thread hanging at the end of the mala. Would have preferred to have the six beads simply hanging from from a short thread; like the 8mm one. The color green is a warm and earthy shade...

Like the other reviewers said, the first knot came undone and the pretty flower design is gone and now some string dangles down and is in the way.. the beads also darkened a lot.. but other than that it's solid and smells wonderful. I wouldn't die without it but I do like it.
