I haven't actually let the young grandkids at the butterflies yet, but I put one in a BIRTHDAY card for my adult grandson and he loved it! I will be bringing them all out at a family picnic soon for the little ones ! I know they will gave a blast.

When I received my order, I was disappointed. I could not get the butterflies to go any higher than a few inches. I called the company and was told how to make them go higher. I tried their advice and was so successful. I love them and have order two more sets. One of my friends, that had received my card, called to say that she had received her card with the butterfy at the right time. She had had a very stressful day and when she opened the card, it just made her day. Thank you.

When i tried them (in a card) they didn't go as high as i thought they would. after winding them up aprxly 30 times they flew higher. i thought they fluttered perfectly. i placed 2 into ea of my 2 birthday kids (60 yr olds) cards. the butterflies were the life of the party. Everyone loved them. Good idea!

The challenge was to figure out how to put the butterflies in the card the "right way" so that they can flutter out without hitting the card when people do not open the card all the way and to fly away from the person rather then towards them. Took a few tries, but I figured it out.

These butterflies are just amazing. Beautiful colors and well made. Some will be going in a coloring book that I am sending to my 1 1/2 year old grand nephew. His mom promised to take pictures when he opens the book and they fly out. I will also include 1 in other family birthday cards. Love them and will most likely buy more.

I bought these to put in gifts for the females in my family. I finally got a chance to use some of them for my daughter in law's upcoming birthday. My son came to help me pack them to set up the surprise. We did a trial run and found that you really need to wind them up thoroughly to get a good result so read the instructions. In my search for birthday card ideas, I saw this on Pinterest and thought this is a great idea. I made a birthday card for a friend who is about to turn eight and loves butterflies. Thought the whole idea was great when I 1st saw it online. I have since enclosed it in 3 cards and I'm patiently waiting for their response. I also enclosed an extra butterfly for 1 sibling. Little concern about the butterfly hitting you in the face when it's released from the card, but that was only with 1 child. Again, I haven't heard back from anyone with that issue. First of all my favorite things are butterflies! I have clothes, shoes & actual specimens of real butterflies.
