Cold, windy and wet Oregon Elk hunt on public lands. Needed some much needed warmup during an early morning hike into the area. Pulled out the new fire plugs and steel and proceeded to start a small fire for me and the wife. Worked as I expected it would. My first foray into fire starters. It took me about 3 minutes to learn to strike and make sparks. I learned that you have to use the beveled edge! Hahaha. I was finally successful in getting them to light. I had a real good fire that started with Bigfoot Bushcraft!

Haven't used it yet. I did seal your cases in airtight vacuum bags and have put it in my bug-out bag along with all of my basic hard survival gear. I grew up hunting and camping in the middle of the wilds in AZ and I know how to make a great survival camp. Easy to make food and such is in my other survival bug-out bag. I also have a great assembly of protection gear spread among both bug-out bags. And of course I have stuff that none of the city sissies will even know about or learn about unles...
