Bought the sample bag to test them out. First time out it was wet and windy. Gathered up my kindling and broke open one of your firestarters. Using a Ferro rod it lit up with the very first strike ! I was impressed. In just a few minutes I had a great fire going. I then ordered the large bag. When it arrived I started breaking it down and put in numerous firekits, bugout bags, and emergency kits for the car and truck. Great to put in empty SKOAL cans, Altoids tins, etc. Makes great stocking...

My dad is very hard to buy for for Christmas. I saw an ad and took a chance. I bought one for him and bought one for me. I used mine to start my bbq pit. Worked just as expected. My first one I pulled apart instead of making a ball at the end. It didn't work too well since I was doing it wrong. I read the instructions and did it the correct way. Worked like a champ. Had a friend let me borrow some of these on a back packing trip up in the UP. 35mph+ sustained winds, even stronger gusts. We had rain, spray from the lake and these fire plugs worked beautifully. Was able to get a fire going and help everyone dry out, I don’t want to give them back!!! Will be getting these for myself ASAP!!

I had bought a cheaper one it's basically the same thing ( striker rod ). Boy was I wrong thank God I wasn't stranded and needed to use it because it was a pos. Then I bought the 200 piece kit from BushCraft. People don't skimp just to save a few buck's, especially when your life can depend on it. Lucky I went outside to try it or I could have set my home on fire. This is a must buy, trust me.
