I have played with a few of the “big” brands and have a few paddles I would recommend…you can now add the Shogun to that list! I really appreciate the control it has, while not lacking any of the power that I feel I have lost in some of the competitors paddles. I added a bit of weight to the throat and udrippin overgrip and love it. Gets lots of comments from other players asking about it. I tend to wear purple shirts (go Holy Cross) so now I match. It’s a different shape than my previous elongated paddle so taking a little getting used to.

Used to play with a CRBN 1 13mm. Shogun has way more control, better feel, without sacrificing the power and pop I had with my CRBN. Basically, it does what I tell it to do, which is nice. Customer service experience is top notch too.

Love my pink Filth! I've only been playing for a couple of years. The Filth helps me with spin on the ball, best shield to block or punch volley the boys from bangers. I started playing a couple months ago and got to try out three different paddles from a popular brand. The Shogun is easily the most aesthetically pleasing and the most fun to play with. It took a couple days to get used to, but I have way more control and I don't feel like I'm missing out on much power. I get compliments every time I play with someone new. I highly recommend Shogun!

Honestly this is my wife's favorite paddle. She come from using a Joola 3 Magnus 14mm. Switching to this one was a breeze. It has great power from the base line and unforgiving put away power. But on the other side it is very easy to control while in the kitchen and the soft game. This paddle has a very good overall playability compared to other similar way more expensive paddles. Hands down I can recommend this one to beginner, intermediate or advanced player.
