Adriana, I hope you see this, I live in Rome and boxes mailed to me don’t come to my address either. I get a notice to pick it up at a certain Poste Italiane because they want to charge Customs. This fee depends on the value of the contents. I’ve already paid 12 € for a pair of fuzzy slippers a friend sent me and 22 € for a Christmas stocking cap, novelty earrings and a few other trinkets. Customs are quite high in Italy. It’s not the company doing this, it’s the foreign post office.
