As straightforward as one of these seems, the directions were actually unclear. They mentioned doubling the bricks, which didn't make much sense to us. So we did the first square that way, and about halfway through the second we realized we wouldn't have enough bricks for the entire picture. So we had to undo all the work and resort the bricks. We should have trusted our instincts to just do the single layer.
If we were actually supposed to do a double layer of bricks, we were very short. Otherw...
