The Meze 109 Pro is an amazing sounding headphone. The custom wood treatment for the Primal edition is a pricey add-on that isn't needed to achieve that great sound, but in my opinion even with the extra cost for a purely cosmetic treatment the Meze 109 Pro Primal is still well worth the price.

I have been trying to find a Planar Magnetic headphone with a well rounded bass and excellent highs and these are right there close to the top of the list. I normally listen to Smooth Jazz, R&B & Gospel. I love my Chord Qutest and Woo WA-23 setup and wanted something more compact that was going to get me close to that and this is it! I pair it with a Hugo2 as the DAC (good in its own right as an amp too, but there's a huge difference once you start using the Hugo2 as DAC and WA8 as amp) and Audeze (LCD-2 and LCD-3) and ZMF (Atrium and VC) headphones.
