I use these for gaming and I don't think they get enough attention for that purpose. While the Meze Elite are way better in games they are a bit $$$. I also use the MDR Z1R for those closed back gaming days. The Hifiman XS is affordable and a absolutely a gaming beast. Soundstage in games is wide and accurate. Games with music just love them as well. Don't buy a "gaming headset" just get these and never worry about a headset again.

So far, AMAZING! Absolutely no EQ required out of the box. I have had it since Monday afternoon (Oct. 3rd) and so far it has been incredible. Excellent bass and treble not to mention that timbre. I've always enjoyed adding some EQ but these cans really don't need it however, if you want just a slight bump to the bass, it will enhance what is already an articulate, tight and extensive bass and control response. I gave the bass +3 db increase (low shelf, .71 Q-factor with a -4db pre-amp on APO)....
