Placed it on and wrapped it for about a hour when I was getting a tattoo on my throat. I felt nothing while getting tattooed . I’m not joking I almost fell asleep . I will say once it does ware off after 3-4 hours the pain is a bit more intense than normal. Lucky you can always re-apply and feel nothing again . I had the outline already done so we worked in segments. To make the most out of the numbing cream, we would apply the cream on one area the tattoo artist will work next. As the cream absorbs for 90 minutes, this allowed the artist to focus on one area before we move to the next segment. I bought this cream a few months ago when I scheduled this appointment. I knew it would hurt. I applied the cream about 2 hours prior and wrapped it up. I would recommend this product. While you never know what to expect, I was confident in knowing this company has done the right thing when making this product. I sat through a 3 hour hand tattoo session and while it is NOT COMPLETELY pain free it is hell of a lot better having some numbing than nothing.
